MEPs return to Brussels on 3 December 2012 for a full week of committee meetings and political group meetings, in preparation for the last plenary of the year from 10-13 December in Strasbourg.

The Agriculture and Rural Development committee meets on 23rd and 24th January, when a group of compromise amendments will be debated.

Agreement may take some time to reach, though agreement is scheduled for the March meeting. This may be delayed if European leaders fail to reach agreement on the MFF (long-term EU budget) at the European Council or summit meeting to be held on 7th February.
